An acoustic engineering role with an innovative audio company, and the opportunity to work with unique technologies and products. The successful applicant will be involved in the acoustic design process from the early stages of concepts and ideas, right through to mass production. A passion for audio, an in-depth understanding of acoustics, and the practical skills to apply this knowledge in real world situations are essential. As part of an expanding company, the role includes plenty of scope for progression and career development. Initially based in Hong Kong, it is anticipated that over time the focus will shift to Southern China.

Responsibilities:

-          Design and simulation of speaker enclosures and acoustic systems

-          Test and measurement of transducers and audio products

-          Technical assessment and report writing for internal and external communications

-          Working closely with manufacturers, providing production support & troubleshooting issues

-          To quickly develop a thorough understanding of HiWave’s technologies with the support provided

Requirements:

-          Formal training in acoustic principles and theory

-          Strong engineering and practical skills

-          Engineering degree in Acoustics/Electronics or related field

-          A keen interest in audio & consumer electronics

-          Industry standard measurement apparatus Klippel, Clio, MLSSA

-          Relevant industry work experience desirable

-          Self motivated, proactive, and able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team

-          The ability to solve problems under pressure

-          Organised, with good time and project management skills

-          Training on HiWave’s unique acoustic technologies will be provided

-          Good spoken and written English/Mandarin/Cantonese required
