1) Technical skills requirements: ~10 years experience in digital and analog design

7) The employee will work with US EPD to help plan the project for China execution

8) The employee will be familiar with the EPD checklist validation process ad will be able to conduct these tests in the BOC as needed.

9) The employee will be able to communicate precisely in written English and spoken English must be at an acceptable level to enable working directly with US Corporate staff.

Essential Responsibilities: 

BASIC FUNCTION

Primary responsibility to lead and direct the activities of an acoustic systems engineering group at China Engineering Center in Suzhou. This is a senior engineering position within the market-leading Automotive Division. 

This position involves Automotive Audio System Design and Development Engineering at a principal engineering level. The successful candidate will understand and be able to work within a systems approach comprising transducers, amplifiers, microphones, and infotainment devices, is familiar with the interactions of vehicle acoustics and basic electronics, and is well versed with DSP techniques for manipulating the performance of same. 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES

In addition to the duties described in the attached Duties and Responsibilities for an Engineer IV:

? Pursue, design and develop automotive entertainment systems, comprised of branded and non-branded audio systems, components, and accessories. The Principal Engineer is typically the primary systems engineer for a major customer account(s) and will also direct the activities of other systems engineer(s) on other major customer account(s). 

? Tune the sound to desired performance goals and/or approve the sound tuning, for any vehicle programs under the Principal Engineer’s overall responsibility.

? Be a source of audio expertise and education for the engineering office and our customers. This includes helping application engineers and sales managers to maintain the system design strategy for branded audio per the customer roadmap and technology roll out plan of record.

? Organize, lead and maintain a local infrastructure for prototype work. This includes mechanical prototypes, and vehicle mock ups, using in-house or local prototype houses.

? Interfaces directly with customer. Represents the organization in customer meetings and conferences to resolve important issues, to plan and coordinate project work, and present the company and the company’s products.

? Plan and conduct work to support customer projects or company objectives, applying competent engineering principles and sound judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

? May contribute to high level planning to achieve company goals.
