职位描述:Essential Responsibilities: 
  • Direct Manage engineering team include EE and ME on professional audio product development.
  • Manage cross functional teams (engineering, NPI and marketing) through a phase gate development process.
  • Manage project timelines (Gantt) task based schedules.
  • Insure accurate product documentation for in-house and ODM supplier designs.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, establishing action items and due dates for activities of Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Supplier, etc.
  • Act as Team Leader and project spokesperson (in conjunction with Management) as final arbitrator in Team decision.
  • Insure product collaterals such as photo samples, carton artwork, user manuals and other product literature are developed, reviewed and released for production.
  • Coordinate timely submission of Safety Agency samples on electronic items.
  • Provide regular project reports showing status of each program in development.
  • Track progress of cost, budget and timing for each program, reporting any variances and suggesting ways to bring program back to plan.
  • Ensure product concept is preserved, requested performance and application requirements of the product are met, and appearance and packaging standards are adhered to.

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or BSME/BSEE or equivalent technical degree desirable.
  • 5+ years of previous project management experience in the mid to high volume consumer products industry and 5+ electronic product design experience.
  • Requires PC skills using programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Project and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience using automated 'Gantt type' scheduling tools.
  • Previous project budgeting and resources loading knowledge/experience.
  • Previous experience in dealing with Asia suppliers.
  • Manual dexterity and lifting ability needed to receive and unpack, and/or build up and pack samples as needed.

Desired Characteristics: 
  • Project management experience in the audio industry is preferred.
  • Experience on managing 10+ EE and ME.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, management and decision making skills.
  • Professional program management certification (PMP) desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively at one time.
  • Must speak fluent English.

Eligibility Requirements: 
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time-domestically and internationally.
  • Current passport required.
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test.

Essential Responsibilities: 

BASIC FUNCTION

Primary responsibility to lead and direct the activities of an acoustic systems engineering group at China Engineering Center in Suzhou. This is a senior engineering position within the market-leading Automotive Division. 

This position involves Automotive Audio System Design and Development Engineering at a principal engineering level. The successful candidate will understand and be able to work within a systems approach comprising transducers, amplifiers, microphones, and infotainment devices, is familiar with the interactions of vehicle acoustics and basic electronics, and is well versed with DSP techniques for manipulating the performance of same. 




ESSENTIAL DUTIES

In addition to the duties described in the attached Duties and Responsibilities for an Engineer IV:

? Pursue, design and develop automotive entertainment systems, comprised of branded and non-branded audio systems, components, and accessories. The Principal Engineer is typically the primary systems engineer for a major customer account(s) and will also direct the activities of other systems engineer(s) on other major customer account(s). 

? Tune the sound to desired performance goals and/or approve the sound tuning, for any vehicle programs under the Principal Engineer’s overall responsibility.

? Be a source of audio expertise and education for the engineering office and our customers. This includes helping application engineers and sales managers to maintain the system design strategy for branded audio per the customer roadmap and technology roll out plan of record.

? Organize, lead and maintain a local infrastructure for prototype work. This includes mechanical prototypes, and vehicle mock ups, using in-house or local prototype houses.

? Interfaces directly with customer. Represents the organization in customer meetings and conferences to resolve important issues, to plan and coordinate project work, and present the company and the company’s products.

? Plan and conduct work to support customer projects or company objectives, applying competent engineering principles and sound judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

? May contribute to high level planning to achieve company goals.

? Prior experience interfacing directly with customers
a. Expertise in acoustical tuning/equalization of automotive audio systems.

5. REQUIRED Physical Demands

? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk, in an automotive vehicle or on a motorcycle; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk; and use ears to hear and evaluate sound quality. The employee frequently is required to drive an automotive vehicle. The employee must be able to physically operate a (computer) keyboard.
