Key Process (Ownership/Participation):
§ Provide acoustic technical services to advertising and marketing for development of product literature and training programs.
§ Provide acoustic technical services to marketing and sales for product applications, as needed on a project basis.
§ Participate as Asian member of the Company Global Acoustics Team organized by Lancaster.
§ Participate in the development of both national and international standards on building acoustics.
§ Identify & lobby key government decision makers in building design & construction to include acoustics within IEQ requirements.
§ Identify & participate in key building code organizations to include acoustic requirements.
§ Identify and support university research on building acoustics and human performance.
§ Publish acoustic design papers in relevant technical & trade publications.
§ Make presentations on Architectural Acoustic Design to architects and interior design professionals, to government & academic groups, to society and associations.
§ Develop training tools and modeling case studies with assistance from Lancaster
Organizational Relationships:
- Reports to Acoustics Manager, Asia
Key Customers and Suppliers:
External
- Customer base of distributors, retailers and consumers
Internal
- Sales Organizations, Marketing Department
Education & Work Experience:
- BS/BA degree in one of the following technical areas - Architecture, Engineering, Physics or Music
- MS or Ph.D. in one of the following - Acoustics, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
- The candidate should have at least 2 years professional experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
- Acoustical Consulting to architects and building owners on the design, evaluation, and performance of architectural systems and buildings.
- Teaching at the university level in either graduate or undergraduate level courses in building acoustics, mechanical system noise and vibration control, architecture and human performance, building materials and system design and acoustic performance.
- Research at the university level in material design and acoustic performance, system design and acoustic performance, Architecture/Acoustics/Human Performance.
