Job Title: Acoustic System Engineer, Principal or Senior
Location: Shanghai
Travel: Travel required within the US and Asia

General Summary
Own and drive the overall acoustic system design of our integrated Our client Products. 
Responsible for the acoustic system architecture including driver configurations, type of drivers and acoustic alignment. 
Responsible for the overall transducer design details and communication with internal/external teams on executing on the design. 
Close interaction with the entire product development team to ensure superior system performance. This includes cross functional interaction between: DSP team, amplifier team, digital electronics team, system software and mechanical teams. 
Interact closely with the Industrial Design team to ensure synergy between product design and audio performance. 
Ability to maximize the overall acoustical system performance within the target BOM cost.

Details
Work with mechanical team to create detailed mechanical files of acoustic and transducer systems.
Create/update BOMs as necessary.
Generate and implement test plans.
Simulate, prototype, evaluate, and modify acoustic system designs.
Simulate, prototype and evaluate transducer design.
Ability to use a variety of test equipment such as: CLIO, LMS, Klippel, ETANI, LISTEN, Audio Precision, etc.
Ability to use simulation tools such as: LEAP, Spead, MatLab, FEA packages, Fine Cone, Fine Motor, etc.
Drive and motivate team members in USA/Asia facilities.
Interface with manufacturing and QA organizations to ensure successful prototype and MP builds.
Monitor and evaluate relevant emerging technologies in the sound/acoustic and transducer industries.
Ability to guide/train Our client manufacturing test team on proper assembly and test methods.

Required Experience: 
BSEE or BSME or BS in Acoustics. 
Ten or more years’ experience in acoustic design.
Exceptional knowledge in acoustic fundamentals. 
Familiarity with integrated acoustic/electronic systems. 
Understanding of amplifier design and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). 
Willingness to travel between Our client locations and overseas to manufacturing facilities.
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent products under a tight deadline in a startup environment. 
Decisive, action-oriented individual who learns quickly, works independently, and takes ownership of open issues.
Preferred 
MS Acoustics, MSME, MSEE.
Experience in electrical design (analog/digital).
Experience with signal processing.
Consumer Electronics experience.
Basic understanding of engineering tools (schematic capture tools, Pro Engineer, etc).
