主题：什么叫＂专业＂音响？？等同于ＰＡ？？

说说我知道的情况吧.

Professinal这个词,我个人曾在几十年前从JBL的样本上看到,(后来知道ALTEC,EV还有更早的专业人员早就这样用了,我猜想是和HI-FI比较,是强调它们的特殊性)所谓专业用扬声器,就是指老百姓不在家里用的扬声器,那么就是电影用扬声器,录音棚里的监听扬声器,再有就是扩声系统和广播系统用的扬声器.

public adress system就是楼上"谁是谁"说的情况,美国EV公司等用这个词比较早吧.
最初就是"公众告知"的含意,到了近二十多年,"扩声"这个概念就更普遍了一点,很多场合为了方便,搞扩声扬声器的说我们在搞PA,大家就理解了.

Professinal这个词在英语世界是被广泛使用的,说一个人有专业精神,就如同汉语中说你是行家里手,

这十几年在美加华人世界还根据这个出了个"专业人士"这个词,有的征婚广告上就写上要"专业人士"云云,...

我猜想,工程师,医生乃至高级技工等有专业才能的大概都可算作专业人士吧.

还是把话题拉回到扬声器.

针对Professinal这样的用途,

就出现了另一个词Consume,消费,在美国还有个消费性电子协会,

那么家用的扬声器就可容纳在这个归类里了.

后来还有人提出另一个分类,叫

Business 用扬声器,什么天花板扬声器,商场,宾馆和高楼里的警报用扬声器大概可归纳其中吧.

这些词和扬声器的使用场合有关,叫开了再有权威(或什么协会)认定了,就更普遍地接受了.

当然,Professinal,PA乃至HI-FI,

以及近年的HIGH-END和最近的多媒体扬声器被大家叫开,

这些词的含意总的来说是清楚的了.

错了.

其实,中国的电声器件行业也不是不可以搞自己的名词和术语体系,

搞完了以后,让他们英美人自己把中文翻译成英文好了.

现在你帮他们翻成英文的话,他们倒是莫名其妙了.

因为他们早就有他们的约定俗成的含意了.

其实这不是什么技术问题,是一个中翻英的问题.

那么,南方行业人士爱说的"专业音响"这个词组,据我所知,

北方一些专家(管善群教授等)认为"音响"这个词组本来就不专业,这样一个见解得到中国声频工程分会专家们的认同,在电声技术乃至声学学报等刊物上编辑们审稿是这样掌握的.

在这样一个前提下,怎样把"专业音响"这个词组翻成英文呢?

哈哈,这倒是个问题!

在GOOGLE上找了一下.
Professional audio这个词组人家用的很多,有的是缩写成Pro audio.

但是PA,按WIKI百科全书:

就是public address.
