Role Summary
Responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with key customers and industry experts throughout China. Promote AKG product solutions, train current and potential customers while partnering with the sales team to create opportunities and secure projects. Provide pre and post-sale support to customers, sales, and dealer network.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Should have a good working knowledge of all elements of professional audio systems with particular expertise in the design, installation and commissioning of large multi-channel wireless microphone systems, conferencing systems and stage/studio microphone techniques.
2. Represent the needs of Chinese customers to Harman, while ensuring Harman business plan objectives are met.
3. Develop and execute an ongoing program of customer visits, ensuring close relationships between Harman and these relationship-driven customers. Key elements include pre and post-sale support, training and education on AKG products and supporting technologies (DSP, Ethernet, and HIQnet).
4. Work with the sales team and distributors to identify new opportunities for AKG in the various vertical markets – Install, Commercial, Tour sound, Recording and Broadcast.
5. Work with the sales team to identify training requirements for the distributors and their customer network.
6. Track and analyze product sales in the China market to ensure all AKG dealers/distributors are performing in all areas of the business.
7. Communicate with one or more of the Harman factory technical teams to ensure the sales team is fully up to speed with all the latest AKG technical activities including software and product development.
8. Responsible for communicating the customer’s comments, requirements and issues back to AKG for future product development.
9. Develop AKG technical material to support sales personnel in market competition comparisons.
10. Develop AKG training materials for use by Harman sales staff in presentations, meetings, workshops, seminars and trade shows.
11. Develop programs that offer systems configuration, commissioning and on-site problem resolution services for AKG users.
12. Serve as a competitive AKG products/systems expert, providing organizational insight into competitive products and their positioning in the China market.
13. From time to time the job holder will be expected to carry out other activities for which he/she is competent to do in order to assist in the efficient operation of the Company.
Basic Qualifications:
Diploma, although a degree in Electronics or RF related engineering is preferred.
Experience Required:
· Minimum of five years sales and/or engineering related experience in the Pro Audio industry.
· Proven track record of ability.
· Strong network of contacts in the Pro Audio industry in China
Skills / Knowledge:
· Strong knowledge of the Pro Audio market in China and how it works.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format in both Mandarin and English.
· Ability to interact effectively and comfortably with distributors, customers and end-users.
· Presentation skills are essential. Must be able to create and perform suitable presentations to both small and large groups of customers tailored to the audiences particular technical abilities.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations including RF Spectrum management, licensing and product certification.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts - in particular algebra and geometry.
· Ability to define engineering problems, extrapolate data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatical form and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables.

Eligibility Requirements:
· Willingness to work in an office in Shenzhen, China.
· The ability to travel extensively, and occasionally with little notice, is an absolute requirement of this position.
